Sound.Waves.

Turning up the volume on Ireland’s creative industries for today’s evolving landscape, the summit is the successor to the much-loved Music Cork, but also much more than that. The 3 day event blends Podcasting, Music and Business insights, with Awards recognising the best Irish Podcasters., bringing a special focus to celebrate the Ryder Cup coming to Adare in 2027 and look back at the amazing European Ryder Cup victory at Beth Page.

Sound.Waves. builds on the legacy of Music Cork as a boutique one-of-a-kind event in Ireland. We want to ensure it has the same unique atmosphere, where colleagues can catch up and new connections can be made in the intimate setting of Adare.

The inaugural Sound.Waves. conference launched in November 2025 in Adare Co. Limerick, with a powerful three-day programme that brought together leading voices from podcasting, music, sport, entertainment, technology and the wider creative economy. Supported by Limerick.ie, Sound.Waves. delivered a future-facing agenda examining how content is created, monetised, distributed and scaled in an increasingly competitive digital landscape.

Hosted at the 4-star Woodlands Hotel & Spa, the event drew creators, executives, producers, artists and industry decision-makers from across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the United States. With global platforms such as Apple and Patreon participating alongside major Irish players and independent creators, Sound.Waves. positioned itself immediately as a new annual meeting point for the industry.

Across three days, delegates explored the intersection of creativity and commerce through keynotes, panel discussions, fireside conversations and exclusive one-to-one sessions. Topics ranged from audience development and IP strategy to AI’s growing influence on content production, marketing and distribution.

The speaker programme included Johnny B of The 2 Johnnies, Dylan Haskins from BBC Sounds, Chris Cooke of CMU, Richard O'Donovan from Polydor Records, Alex Briand of Redhanded and Jamie Weir of Sky Sports Golf, alongside representation from RTÉ, Mediahuis and Bauer Media amongst others.

The inaugural Sound.Waves. showcase also introduced five emerging acts to a live industry audience in Limerick City, cementing the event's commitment to new talent alongside established names.
